Skyfall brings James Bond back to Movie Screens

On a press conference held at the Corinthia Hotel in London on 3rd of November 2011,  the cast for the new to come movie Skyfall, the 23rd in the sequel of James Bond 007 movies, was announced. Together with Daniel Craig, who is presenting James Bond in Skyfall the third time after ‘Casino Royale’ and ‘Quantum of Solace’, the Bond Girls were presented. They are played in Skyfall by the French actress Bérénice Marlohe and the British actress Naomie Harris.

Skyfall Cast

With playing Severine in Skyfall, Bérénice Marlohe follows a number of well-known  actresses who portrayed the Bond Girl, such as Ursula Andress, Sophie Marceau, Halle Berry or Eva Green. The 1980 born French actress and model is a sure hit to give the main part of the sex formula in the series, which is a warrant for the sequels’ incredible success.

Although rumors abounded Naomie Harris to give the honest  ‘Miss Moneypenny’ in Skyfall, she will be, in fact, playing a seductive field agent named Eve, who will find just after a long way around to the most popular desk job in the world. Harris became well known worldwide for her role in ’28 Days Later’, a post-apocalyptic film by Danny Boyle. Subsequently, she was seen in various supporting roles of big-budget  movies, such as Pirates of the Caribbean or Miami Vice.

James Bond’s counterpart in Skyfall will be portrayed by the Spanish actor Javier Bardem, who won in 2007 the Oscar as Best Supporting Actor for ‘No Country for Old Men’. 1969 born Bardem will give the movie’s main villain.

As already in previous movies, Judi Dench will portray M. Other actors announced, with their roles in Skyfall still undisclosed, are Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney and Ben Whishaw.

Skyfall Outline

While James Bond questions in Skyfall his own loyalty to his superior, M, her past actions have consequences on the present. As MI6 gets attacked, Bond has to seek out and eliminate the threat.
